FAQ’s
Q. Does insurance cover my stay at Hope Grows?
A. At this time we do not accept insurance for the stay at Hope Grows. However, many of our residents are able to use their insurance with the medical professionals that they see off-site while they’re here, which include their Registered Dietician, Individual Therapist, Medical Doctor, and Psychiatrist. Please feel free to call or email us anytime for more information about using your insurance with the off-site medical providers.
Q. Is Hope Grows a licensed treatment center?
A. Texas does not have a specific licensure for Eating Disorder Treatment.. Therefore we provide a structured living environment with 24 hour staffing and a curriculum full of recovery workshops and classes, combined with off-site medical, psychiatric, nutritional and therapeutic care. We are a highly structured recovery and spiritual program that provides a comprehensive set of spiritual and life skills and daily practices, which our residents fully adopt into their lives to bring about permanent recovery.
Q. Will I be able to continue my work schedule if I enroll at Hope Grows?
A. Hope Grows is a Residential Recovery Center for Eating Disorders, similar to Residential Eating Disorder Treatment.. Residents fully commit to our program for the duration of their stay., living with us full-time and focusing solely on the process of recovery. Each resident is required, however, by the end of their stay to begin transitioning into ‘real life’ by finding a job, securing service or volunteer work, finding a new supportive living arrangement, etc.
Q. What does the cost cover?
A. Tuition includes all meals, group therapy, group classes by a licensed registered dietician, group exercise including yoga, all transportation to meetings and doctor’s appointments, all classes, workshops and curriculum during the day, etc. Please call us for more information about program cost.
Q. How many residents do you take at once?
A. We are a very intimate facility, taking only five residents at a time. This allows for plenty of individual attention for each resident.
Q. What makes Hope Grows different from other residential recovery options?
A. We offer our residents a structured daily program of action and all the support they need to gain sanity back in their eating and exercise practices. We provide structure, accountability and practical support; plenty of one-on-one guidance from other women who have also recovered, and have stayed recovered; an extensive relapse prevention program; and laughter and levity in all we do. We’re located in beautiful Austin, Texas, and our residents get plenty of individual support in our intimate facility. We also provide a unique after care program in which graduates of the residential program at Hope Grows attend 9 hours per week of classes and workshops at Hope Grows in order to more smoothly transition into the regular stressors of every day life.
Q. What are the qualifications of your staff?
A. We are staffed and directed entirely by other recovered women who are available at any hour of the day to assist in the process of recovery. We teach from a perspective of experience, rather than theory or opinion. Each resident sees Medical Doctors, Therapists, Registered Dieticians, and Psychiatrists off-site , and several of these professionals are available after hours should the need arise. Please see the tab ‘Medical Team’ above for more information about these professionals.
