Sally Bowman MEd, RD, LD

Sally has been a registered and licensed dietician for 24 years.  She has worked in a variety of settings, including Lake Austin Spa, several fitness/wellness centers, Austin Community College, and as a consultant in private practice.  Sally has worked with Central Texas Nutrition Consultants (CTNC) since 1996.  During her time at CTNC, Sally has specialized in working with individuals with eating disorders.  She has chosen this specialty primarily because she finds the work so rewarding.  Her philosophy is that eating disorders are complex psychobiological illnesses which require rebalancing of body, mind and spirit for true healing.  Sally has served as a nutrition consultant for Austin Recovery for over 12 years providing nutrition education specifically geared toward eating disorder prevention and recovery.  Sally is also a board certified sports dietician and is a consultant with the University of Texas Women's Athletics.  This gives her the opportunity to combine her love of sports and the outdoors with her work.

Sally will provide a twice-monthly nutrition class at Hope Grows, as well as consulting services on menu-planning and other issues as-needed.
